SBS
managed the design, development, testing, and implementation of a data
communication manager for an energy procurement exchange, a subsidiary of a
large utility. The main goal of the project was to analyze and act on
opportunities that better positioned the merged entity in the marketplace and
to develop plans to enhance revenue opportunities.
Part of the project was to provide an exchange platform for the
secured transfer of data between buyers and sellers. To handle this task, a
trigger-based application was developed to seamlessly move data on demand.
Another key element to this project was data integrity. To ensure the necessary
data integrity checks for all transfers of data, safeguards and error
handling/processing were developed and implemented throughout the system.
