Founder and Managing Partner
Richard Carotenuti, Managing Partner of Sound Business Solutions, co-founded the company in 2001. Mr. Carotenuti has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology, staffing and solutions consulting, management, marketing and sales. He was also co-founder, Executive Vice President and member of the board of directors of ProTraxx, Inc, a web based solution provider in the Education industry, until that company was acquired in 2008. Prior to that, he was a partner and Branch Vice President at CBSI, Inc, formerly c.w. Costello & Associates, as well as Regional Branch Manager for TSR, Inc. Mr. Carotenuti, who began his career at Aetna Life & Casualty, has a demonstrated ability to deal with complex business problems to deliver cost-effective, quality results by integrating leadership, vision, communication, teamwork and relevant experience.
Founder and Managing Partner
Shane Kokoruda is a senior technology and business executive and founder of SBS. Prior to founding SBS in 2001, Shane worked as a Senior Utility Consultant and Practice Leader for a large top tier consulting firm. He worked with numerous utility and energy companies and worked with senior management to design, build, and implement value added solutions. Shane was also a founder and Executive Vice President of ProTraxx, Inc., a software and services company that provided Professional Development Management solutions to the K-12 education industry. Shane holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Bates College, and is a certified Project Management Professional.
Vice President of Business Development
Terry Frankenburg is Vice President of Sales for Sound Business Solutions. He joined the company in 2008 and brought with him over 25 years of IT industry experience including consulting, staffing and business solutions. Prior to joining SBS, Terry worked as Manager of Business Development for Corporate IT where he provided consulting services to Fortune 500 companies, including Insurance/Healthcare, Banking as well as the State's Department of Transportation, As Senior Account Executive for Adecco, his staffing strategies under exclusive client contracts was critical to the success of meeting agressive business goals and objectives. Terry has developed and maintained key business relationships and is well-known among the consulting community.
A native of Connecticut, Terry grew up in Westport and obtained his Business Degree from Central Connecticut State University where he was a member of the rugby team. He's traded his rugby stripes for a Calaway driver now - in fact, you might see him conducting a little business on the fairways of some of Connecticut's great courses.
Director of Recruiting
Erin Cowles joined Sound Business Solutions in 2008 after working as a Technical and Executive Recruiter in the Hartford, Stamford and Boston areas. She has extensive experience at recruiting for various levels of IT for multiple clients in the Healthcare, Financial, Pharmaceutical and Insurance industries. Erin holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies from Harvard University and a Masters in Communication and Information Management from Bay Path College and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
